ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continue to pile up commitments in the 2024 class.
This time it’s three-star defensive lineman Quintavius Johnson who has committed to Tray Scott and the Bulldogs.
An under the radar lineman who won over the defensive staff, Johnson is a 6-foot-5 255-pound defensive end with the ability to slide inside as the continues to put on more weight and muscle mass.
After taking official visits this month to Georgia and South Carolina, Johnson originally planed to visit Tennessee this upcoming weekend, but instead, the big Mays (GA) defender decided to end his recruitment and commit to the national champion Georgia Bulldogs. He also held offers from Cleemson, Florida State, Missouri, among others.

As a prospect, Johnson brings a lengthy frame and the ability to consistently find his way into the backfield. He’s all promise and potential right now, using his raw athleticism to stack up big plays throughout his junior season last fall. He’s tough to block on the edge and has the ability to blow up any particular play before it gets started. His frame, burst off the snap, and ability to create havoc in the backfield are just a few reasons why the staff decided to take his commitment.
Sources say that Tray Scott and the staff love the potential he brings, and as he continues to develop and clean up his technique, Johnson could end up being one of the biggest steals in this class.
He’s ranked as a three star, but he’s another defensive lineman who is only getting better. He may not be a household name, but he did hold major SEC offers, and today he was given the green light to jump on board after working out for the staff once again.
Johnson becomes Georgia’s third defensive line commitment, joining 4-stars Jordan Thomas and Justin Greene.
He also becomes Georgia’s 20th verbal commitment in the 2024 class.
