ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs DB Kelee Ringo was picked No. 105 overall by the Eagles in the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City.
Ringo will always be synonymous with one of the biggest plays in Georgia history. After all, his interception of Alabama’s Bryce Young and subsequent run to glory (and the end zone) eliminated decades of frustration for Georgia fans.
While Ringo will be best remembered for his run to the end zone in Indianapolis, he has always been considered a top-flight NFL prospect. His 40-yard dash time earlier this year was impressive. That workout likely pushed him to a high-level pick.
Ringo tended to show up in big moments. He also didn’t back down from challenges - like telling Georgia Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart that he wanted to cover Tennessee WR Jalin Hyatt. Now it is on to the NFL for Ringo.
