ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are getting ready for G-Day, but they’re still hosting top prospects throughout the week.
Offensive line coach Stacy Searles had two impressive offensive line prospects on campus recently, and both left the Classic City with an offer from the two-time national champions.
One was up-and-coming 2025 OT Josh Petty. The Roswell, Georgia native out of Fellowship Christian stands at a long, lean 6-foot-5 250-pounds and is coming off a dominant sophomore season for the Paladins. His recruitment is starting to take off, and after visiting Georgia on Tuesday, the outstanding young tackle left with an offer.
“It was amazing to get an offer from Georgia”, Petty told Dawg Post. “My family was there and we were all very excited. I already knew a bit about the program, especially their accomplishments and how well they develop players. Coach Searels is a great coach who really cares about his players. He is hard but fair and wants his guys to work hard. We’ve built a great bond and I talked with him for a while. We also spoke with his wife during the visit.”
As a prospect, Petty physically dominated opposing defenders just about every Friday night last fall as a sophomore, putting his opponent on their back on a consistent basis. His length allows him to latch on to defenders, and his lower body strength gives him the ability to drive them backwards and fully eliminate them from the play. He’s tough, finishes his blocks, and plays until the whistle. His promising frame stands out to college coaches, and his sophomore film is outstanding. Petty now holds offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech, among others.

Another impressive offensive lineman who earned a recent Bulldog offer was William Satterwhite. A four-star interior offensive lineman out of Archbishop Hoban (OH), Satterwhite stands at 6-foot-5 290-pounds and is one of the top overall offensive line prospects in the Midwest for the 2024 class.
Satterfield broke down his offer with Dawg Post.
“It was exciting, really exciting”, Satterwhite said. “I was honestly surprised when Coach Smart told me I had an offer to play at Georgia. I knew some of the players that have been to the program, as well as them being a top program since I’ve been little. Of course, I know they have won back to back national championships the last two years.”
“Coach Searels is a great guy and a family man”, Satterwhite added. “His wife is part of his coaching staff so she knows the game. She has a mother figure in her as well a father figure in Coach Searels. His assistant coaches as well make the practices run smooth. He’s a fun guy to be around and I most definitely want to get back down there.”
