Glendale, AZ - What an incredible two years it’s been for Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean.
After helping lead the Georgia Bulldogs to the 2021 national championship, the program’s first in over 40 years, the two Bulldog legends were drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Davis, the 2021 Outland Trophy Winner, Chuck Bednarik Award Winner, and All-America First Team selection, was drafted by the Eagles in the 1st round with the No. 13 overall pick. At Georgia, Davis made 90 career tackles, 11.5 TFLs and seven sacks in his brilliant career.
Dean, who slid in the draft due to injury concerns over his pectoral strain, was selected in the 3rd round and pick No. 83 in the Draft. Dean was a former 5-star prospect in the 2019 class out of Horn Lake in Mississippi State. Dean had a legendary career in Athens, making 168 tackles, 13.5 TFLs, and 7.5 sacks. He also intercepted two passes, with one of them being returned back for a touchdown against the rival Florida Gators.

Davis, who accomplished just about everything you can at the collegiate level, has made a big impact for the Eagles as a rookie. The Eagles first-rounder made 18 tackles this past season in the middle of the Eagle’s defensive line while adding one TFL.
Dean, Philadelphia’s third-round pick, made 13 combined tackles and one TFL.
They both may play a reserve role, but there’s a good chance both will see action in Glendale for the big game. Davis is a force in the middle, and Dean has seen the field more and more as the season has progressed.
They left college as national champions, and now they have a chance to call themselves Super Bowl champions with a win over the powerful Kansas City Chiefs.
According to FanDuel, it’s the Eagles who have the best odds to win this year’s Super Bowl as they are currently 1.5-point favorites over the Chiefs.
