Former Bulldogs Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean Honor Devin Willock, Chandler LeCroy

ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are still mourning the death of offensive lineman Devin Willock, and former teammates in the NFL are as well. 

Before Saturday night’s 38-7 win over the the New York Giants in the Divisional Playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field, former Bulldogs Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis warmed up with sweatshirts that honored Willock and Chandler LeCroy. 

The Eagles wait to host the winner of Sunday night’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the San Fransisco 49ers. Dean and Davis both in their rookie seasons after being drafted by Philadelphia last season in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The duo were two of 15 former Bulldogs drafted last spring. Dean won the Butkus Award and was an All-SEC performer in 2021. He ended his final year at Georgia with 72 tackles, two interceptions and six sacks. 

Davis has started five games for the Eagles as a rookie. He ended his tenure at UGA with 91 tackles and seven sacks. Davis won both the the Outland and Bednarick Awards in 2021. He was selected by the Eagles in the first round in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Willock played two seasons with Dean and Davis - going head-to-head with the duo as a member of the Dawgs’ offensive scout team in 2020. He tragically died in a car accident along with UGA staffer Chandler LeCroy on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
