ATHENSGeorgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart are getting ready to take on Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs in the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Los Angeles.

Georgia is coming off of one of the most emotional wins in not just its history, but the history of college football as well. The Dawgs have come out on the winning side of the two of the most emotional wins in the College Football Playoff era.

ESPN’s College Gameday host Rece Davis thinks that the confetti will pour red and black again in Los Angeles.

“Sorry for my TCU friends, but Georgia wins pretty convincingly,” Davis said.

The betting line has Georgia as about a 13.5-point favorite according to several gambling sites, and Davis mentioned in an ESPN podcast episode that he believes the Bulldogs will win by a score in that range.

This game features two of the four Heisman finalists in Stetson Bennett and Max Duggan. Duggan brings a different challenge than CJ Stroud did. Stroud brought his A-game in Atlanta. With both his arms and his legs, he helped lead the Buckeyes in scoring 41 points against the Georgia defense- something that only Alabama has done in the last-two seasons.

“Duggan is a better runner than Stroud, though Stroud was terrific for the first time in his career at moving around and picking up first downs with his feet,” Davis said. “My initial reaction: The line is 13.5. I sort of expect that’s how it’s gonna wind up.”

Heading into the title game, Georgia is the biggest betting favorite to win the game in over 15 years, but we have seen how those lines sometimes don’t matter. The Dawgs were about a 6-point favorite over Ohio State, and the game was decided on the final play.

Both teams will arrive in LA on Friday afternoon ahead of a Monday night clash for it all.
