Georgia Bulldog Brock Bowers Named Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia sophomore tight end Brock Bowers has been named one of 12 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, according to an announcement from the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., Monday.

Bowers, a native of Napa, Calif., is one of only two players from the Southeastern Conference on the list.  Bowers is already a Rotary Lombardi Award finalist and a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year and Maxwell and Mackey awards.

Bowers has a team-high 625 receiving yards on 41 catches and four receiving touchdowns during Georgia’s undefeated start.  He also has four carries for 89 yards and three scores.  Bowers has six 100-yard receiving games in his career and has led the Bulldogs in receiving three games this year.

No. 1 Georgia (11-0, 8-0 SEC) concludes its regular season on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium versus Georgia Tech (5-6, 4-4 ACC) on Saturday.  ESPN will televise the matchup at 12 p.m.
