ATHENS - The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and coach Kirby Smart are getting ready for Clean Old Fashioned Hate. But the folks at SEC shorts show everyone in the league getting their playoff resumes ready.
SEC Shorts, the quick-form comedy team that weights in on the events around the league each week, did a skit this over the weekend having Ole Miss and Tennessee clean up their resumes for the College Football Playoff committee, but there’s a problem.
"Let’s say, hypothetically, that we lost to South Carolina or Vanderbilt," Tennessee asks with a giggle.
“You are so funny,” replies the actress getting the Vols ready for later in the year.

The No. 5 Vols were shocked 63-38 over the weekend with a blowout loss to South Carolina in Columbia. It was one of the biggest wins in South Carolina history - and one of the worst in history for Tennessee. Conventional thinking was that the Vols needed only beat South Carolina and Vanderbilt to be in prime position for a spot in the playoff. But the loss to Carolina means Tennessee is out - after November losses to South Carolina and Georgia.
Meanwhile, Ole Miss can't seem to catch a break. The Rebels try to talk away their own blowout road loss - this time at Arkansas - while Auburn tries to steal away Lane Kiffin. The final score was not indicative of the beating Arkansas put on Kiffin's team.
All that said, Georgia is considered a 35-point favorite to win this Saturday over Georgia Tech. Kirby Smart's program has won the SEC East five time in six seasons, and will face LSU in the SEC Championship Game on December 3. LSU travels to Texas A&M for a night game this weekend.
