ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are just fine - at least that’s what one ESPN college football observer thinks.

“I'm not worried at all,” said ESPN’s Rece Davis of the Dawgs. “I think they are sleepwalking. I think they know they are a lot better than these last two teams they played. They just haven't found the type of edge that Kirby Smart and the players would have lived going into those games to play at that level.”

Davis was on the SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum Show this week, and was asked about the Bulldogs’ 24-22 win at Missouri over the weekend. Georgia had been the No. 1 team in the nation before the performance.

Davis said he moved the Bulldogs down from the No. 1 spot in his AP ballot on Sunday. Alabama, which he replaced the Dawgs with, won 49-26 on the road at Arkansas.

“Georgia is still in that upper echelon - easily. They can still win the national championship again,” Davis added.

The Bulldogs (5-0) take on Auburn (3-2) Saturday in Sanford Stadium on CBS at 3:30. That game is followed by the much-anticipated matchup between Texas A&M (3-2) and Alabama (5-0) later that night on CBS.

Georgia is listed as a 29.5-point favorite to take out the Tigers. Alabama is considered a 24-point favorite over the Aggies.
