Georgia Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart Gives Encouraging Injury Report for Dawgs

ATHENS - It looks like Kirby Smart’s No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs will get back top defensive player Jalen Carter this weekend at Missouri, where they are 28-point favorites according to FanDuel.
“Jalen has been practicing and taking more rotations. He looks much better this week,” Kirby told reporters Wednesday.
The Bulldogs are set to travel to Missouri on Friday. Kirby said Tuesday that he was keeping an eye on Hurricane Ian, which has already forced both South Carolina and the Gators to move their contests this weekend.

Georgia is considered a four-touchdown favorite to beat the Tigers, who suffered a loss at Auburn on Saturday. This is the start of seven consecutive SEC games for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are second in the league in Total Offense (531.5 yards/game) and Yards Per Play (7.6). Thanks in part to the performance of senior QB Stetson Bennett so far, the Bulldogs are third the league in Passing Offense (350.5 yards/game). Bennett has five touchdowns and one interception plus four rushing touchdowns this year. He is completing 74 percent of his passes and has 1,224 yards going into the Missouri contest.
Kirby added Wednesday that WR Ladd McConkey continues to manage a slight toe injury this week. It has been something the receiver has been dealing with for some time.
“It is a volume issue not really an injury that was sustained. It was a toe injury he had. We shut him down two days last week. He's been pretty good this week getting treatment on him,” Kirby said.
Kirby reiterated that punishment for Javon Bullard, who was arrested over the weekend on seven misdemeanor offenses including a DUI, would “be handled internally.”
