ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will have their season-opener this weekend as they host Samford in front of a championship crowd in Sanford Stadium.
Rain or shine, you can bet it will be a big game for Georgia fans in attendance. It’s the first home game as reigning champions in a long, long time. I can already imagine Sanford Stadium going wild the first time they show Kelee Ringo on the jumbo-tron running down the sideline to seal Georgia’s national championship victory.
Back in Sanford Stadium, the Bulldogs will be playing on “Sacred Grounds”, which is what their week two hype video was all about.
Narratted by senior defensive back Christopher Smith...
“You hear that? That’s home. But home isn’t just what’s inside of these four walls. It’s 92,000K of my closest friends yelling ‘Georgia!! Bulldogs!” It’s the sound of that sweet Sanford noise. Pushing us through every down. For a 60-minue dog fight. So let’s line them up Bewtween the Hedges in front of the greatest fans in the land. Welcome back to the Sacred Grounds.”
Smith and the Bulldogs will take on Samford in Athens at Sanford Stadium at 4:00 PM on the SEC newtork.
