ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs are operating like a machine, and Kirby Smart has been building it since the moment he arrived in Athens. 

Smart did not build this by himself, and he did have a foundation from Mark Richt, but he spent the last few years taking what was already a good football program and made it elite.
