ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are headed to SEC Media Days. Kirby is bringing quarterback Stetson Bennett, linebacker Nolan Smith and center Sedrick Van Pran with him to 2022 SEC Media Days in Atlanta.
The event, which will take place at the College Football Hall of Fame, starts on Monday, July 18th. Kirby and the Dawgs are poised to meet with the media on Wednesday. The annual event is a four-day mosh pit of question deflecting and projections.
The Bulldogs are coming off of a 33-18 win over No. 2 Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Indianapolis in January. The win was the Dawgs’ first national championship since 1980.
Bennett ended 2021 with 2,862 yards, 29 touchdowns, seven interceptions passing and 259 yards rushing. He is 14-3 as a starting quarterback at Georgia. He started his college career in 2017 with the Bulldogs as a walk-on quarterback.

Smith and Bennett announced their returns in January. New Orleans native Van Pran should be back in the starting lineup for the Dawgs on an offensive line that returns several starters, and but saw a coaching change in the offseason.
Georgia is considered one of the favorites to win the 2022 national title along with Nick Saban’s Alabama squad that is returning a slew of offensive stars including Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young.
