ATHENS - Todd Hartley does it again.
One of the top recruiters in the country, Todd Hartley just doesn’t miss when it comes to recruiting tight ends. He got his top target in 2020 (Darnell Washington), 2021 (Brock Bowers), 2022 (Oscar Delp), and has three current commitments in the 2023 class.
Now, he’s landed a commitment from his top 2024 target as well in 5-star Landen Thomas.
The dynamic pass-catcher out of Colquitt County (GA) is a big-bodied receiver who knows how to run. His teammate Ny Carr committed to the Bulldogs earlier this week, and now Thomas is on the commit list, giving the Bulldogs a great start to the 2024 class.

So what is Georgia getting in Thomas?
Size and athleticism.
One of the top 2024 playmakers in South Georgia, sophomore tight end Landen Thomas is one of the top tight end prospects not only in the South, but across the country. He has a great frame at 6-foot-4 210-pounds and he’s a mismatch problem for defenses due to his size and ability to run for his size.
He’s a big-bodied pass catcher who is only scratching the surface of his potential. He’s a true modern-day tight end who excels in the passing game as a strong pass-catcher who knows how to run and pick up yards after the catch. He plays the ball like a receiver and shows strong hands when snatching the ball away from defenders. Thomas caught only 31 passes so fall, but they’ve went for 516 yards and seven touchdowns, proving he’s a big-play threat on any particular play. He’s also an impact blocker on the edge and will continue to add more weight and muscle over the next few years.
Thomas is ranked by Dawg Post as the No. 6 prospect in Georgia in the 2024 class. He’s the 2nd 2024 commitment of the week and another MAJOR pickup for the Bulldogs.
