4-star LB Grayson Howard Sets Official Visit to Georgia

As Dawg Post members already know, it’s going to be a MASSIVE month of June on the recruiting trail as Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are set to host different camps throughout the month to find and evaluate new prospects.
The Georgia staff will also be hosting some of their top 2023 targets on official visits and plenty of other unofficial visitors throughout the month.
Co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann, one of the top assistants and recruiters in the country, will have his top targets in town throughout the month.
One of his linebacker targets, 4-star Grayson Howard out of Jacksonville, Florida, will be in Athens for his official visit the weekend of June 10th. The 6-foot-3 235-pound inside linebacker has two other official visits set up in June, with one planned to Florida the first weekend in June, and another official visit planned for South Carolina the weekend of June 24th.
Howard was in Athens in late May for an unofficial visit to take in the big scavenger hunt weekend. Howard spent plenty of time with coach Schumann that weekend as well as five-star LB Sammy Brown.
Sources told Dawg Post in the spring that the South Carolina Gamecocks were the team to beat in his recruitment, and while the in-state Florida Gators are also pushing for the hard-hitting linebacker, some sources now believe the Bulldogs could be the team to beat if the staff continues to push for him in this current cycle.
Howard was a tackling machine last season as a junior where he made 157 total stops, 14 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and 2 INTs. He also recently named his “Top 5” that includes Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Clemson, and Texas A&M.
