ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs tight end John FitzPatrick was drafted No. 213 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons.

The former four-star prospect was a part of the Georgia Bulldogs 2021 national championship. FitzPatrick started 15 games for the Bulldogs during the 2021 season. His best game came during a four-catch performance against Cincinatti in the 2021 Peach Bowl in Atlanta. FitzPatrick netted 41 yards in the Peach Bowl.

FitzPatrick was a mainstay for the Dawgs at tight end over the last few seasons. He was not the primary pass catcher at the spot in 2021, but he played in all 15 games in 2021 and started against UAB, South Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia Tech. He ended 2021 with six catches for 83 yards.
