ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs running back Zamir White was drafted No. 122 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The former five-star prospect was a part of the Georgia Bulldogs 2021 national championship. White was the Dawgs primary starter in 2021, but shared snaps with James Cook. White was one of the Dawgs four permanent team captains in 2021, and was the program’s leading rusher for the second season in a row with 856 yards on 160 carries.

White ended his career as the program’s No. 15 rusher of all time. What  ended his career at UGA with 2,043 all-purpose yards. He had 2,043 yards rushing with 25 rushing scores.  White had one punt block in 2020 vs. Arkansas. He added a touchdown against the Hogs a year later while recovering a punt that was blocked.

White picked Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs over a host of schools including Alabama and North Carolina.

“He is a pounder. He doesn't allow guys to get shots in on him. There is opportunity here with the Riders for Zeus,” ESPN’s Todd McShay said after White was selected.
