ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will be hosting one of the top prospects in the country on Thursday for a visit.
That would be 5-star ATH KJ Bolden out of Buford (GA).
One of the top overall prospects across the country in the 2024 class, Bolden is an elite athlete who could make an impact on both sides of the ball at the next level. A dynamic WR/DB prospect, Bolden is a track star with explosion, size, and ball skills.
At 6-foot-1 185-pounds, Bolden can serve as a lock-down defensive back or a playmaker at receiver. He’s a smooth runner, gets open consistently, and was tough to handle all last season for opposing defenses. Some sources believe the Bulldogs are the team trending right now for Bolden, who holds offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Penn State, among others.
Dawg Post ranks Bolden as the No. 2 prospect in Georgia for the 2024 class. The 247 Composite Rankings have Bolden as the No. 1 ATH in the country and the No. 9 overall prospect.
Bolden won’t be the only big-time prospect in Athens on Thursday. Dawg Post confirmed that two major prospects out of Schley County, 2024 WR/DB Jalewis Solomon and 2025 RB/LB Zayden Walker, both plan to visit Georgia later this week.
Solomon, one of the state’s top two-way prospects in the 2024 class, dominated last year on both sides of the ball. At receiver, the 6-foot-1 185-pounder caught 61 passes last fall for 989 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore. Defensively, Solomon made 22 tackles and picked off 8 passes in coverage.
Walker, who has easy 5-star potential in the 2025 class, impressed each week last fall on both sides of the ball. The 6-foot-3 220-pound freshman rushed for 1,001 yards and 18 touchdowns last year. Defensively, the hard-hitting linebacker made 39 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and forced 3 fumbles.
