ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs‘ new football facility was further revealed Wednesday.
The Bulldogs, who just won the national title after beating Alabama 33-18, are slowly but surely moving into their new digs. Georgia heads into the 2022 season with pretty solid odds to repeat as national champions. Fan Duel lists the Dawgs at +350 to win it all in 2022 - behind only Alabama, which is listed at +200.
The new facility has been planned to be built in stages. Georgia released a video of the new facility on its social media outlets. The video shows Kearis Jackson, Warren McClendon, Dominick Blaylock and others moving around the new part of the facility with a very quick spotlight on the wide receivers room as well as a look at some of the trophies the program has earned over the decades.
Walls in the new part of the facility have logos from the CFP, SEC and a shot of Sanford Stadium with the words “Defend your Turf” over it. Kirby Smart’s program has lost only once in the last five seasons Between the Hedges.
The Dawgs are set to open the season against No. 12 Oregon in Atlanta. ESPN’s Way-Too-Early college football Top 25 has the Dawgs ranked No. 3 coming into the year.
