Kirby Smart, Georgia Bulldogs Announce G Day Date

ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs will hold their spring game in Sanford Stadium on Saturday, April 16.
This will be the second opportunity for fans to visit an event in Sanford Stadium since the national championship celebration and parade. Kirby Smart has had no issues getting fans to pack out Sanford Stadium for spring games, and this will (hopefully) be the first normal spring game atmosphere since 2019.
This will also be the first look at a lot of the freshman talent from the 2022 recruiting class in a Georgia uniform. Some of the headline names will be quaertback Gunner Stockton, tight end Oscar Delp and defensive back Malaki Starks.
Georgia will have a lot of starters to replace, especially on the defensive side of the ball. G Day will showcase the first taste of who the starting linebacker core is going to be. Channing Tindall, Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker all declared for the NFL draft.
As it looks right now, Stetson Bennett will enter spring practice as the starting quarterback. Brock Vandagriff, Carson Beck and Gunner Stockton will all compete for the job with Bennett now that JT Daniels is likely out of the picture.
