Running Back University already had one signee in the 2022 class in four-star Branson Robinson, and they now have another in three-star Andrew Paul.
Former commitment Jordan James deciced to flip to Oregon, and the Bulldogs gave three-star Andrew Paul the green light to jump on board and commit to the Bulldogs.
The three-star back from Dallas was a long-time Clemson target, but after a late offer from the Bulldogs and coming off an official visit to Georgia, Paul knew he wanted to play for the defending national champions.
What are the Bulldogs getting in Paul?
Size and productivity.
At 5-foot-11 220-pounds, Pual is a thicker back who knows how to break takles and keep his legs moving. He was extremely productive last fall, rushing for a mind-blowing 2,824 yards and 44 touchdowns. He was a bully in his region, bowling over defenses and running by them with ease. He breaks a lot of tackles, especially with his legs, and can score on any particular play going against those private-school defenses.
He runs with balance, does a great job of staying on his feet, and has enough speeed to break off a long run. He may not be an “explosive” runner, but he's a strong back who changes directions well and rarely gets brought down by a single defender.
He’s as productive as it gets and the numbers speak for themselves. He averages close to 10 yards per carry, and while he doesn’t play against the best competition, it's easy to see the D1 talent that he posseses.
