ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs Robert Beal is returning for his final season in Athens.

Beal was the Georgia Bulldogs‘ leading sack artist in 2021 with 6.5 sacks. He is expected to help with a Georgia defensive line that will have to replace three major contributors in Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt and Trayvon Walker. The 2021 Bulldogs were one of the best defenses in college football history. Still, the return of Beal, Nolan Smith and Jalen Carter makes for a formidable front heading into the 2022 season.

Beal was one of a slew of defenders that helped guide the Dawgs to an undefeated regular season, and eventually winning the Orange Bowl and National Championship Game.

The win is the Dawgs’ first national championship since 1980.

The Bulldogs are set to open the season in Atlanta against Oregon on September 3rd. The Ducks are now led by former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning.

Now you can own this commemorative keep-sake hardcover book to remember the season. DAWGSTRUCTION will print in late January when the season concludes. The cover is subject to change.
