White came to Georgia as a consensus five-star running back from North Carolina. He ended his career with a huge performance in Georgia’s 33-18 win over No. 1 Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Indianapolis.
White ended that game with 13 carries for 84 yards and the game’s first touchdown. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry against the Tide - grinding down Alabama in the final 20 minutes of the game with his bruising style of running.
White combined with James Cook to provide the Dawgs one of the best one-two punches in college football over the last few seasons. White was often a between-the-tackles threat, while Cook made explosive plays on the edges and often in the passing game. The two players are soft spoken, and have been leaders for the Dawgs in recent seasons.
White ends his championship career at Georgia with 382 runs for 2,043 yards with 25 touchdowns. Georgia will likely turn to running backs Kendall Milton and Kenny McIntosh as primary ball carriers in 2022.
