INDIANAPOLIS - The Georgia Bulldogs have arrived for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
The Bulldogs did so just in time for freezing weather to hit the midwest - covering Indianapolis with temperatures in the teens. The Bulldogs are set to practice on Saturday here before a Sunday walkthrough.
“I told them they weren’t going to be outside much,” coach Kirby Smart said of the weather.
The Bulldogs traveled to Indianapolis in two planes - the two touching down about 15 minutes apart from one another. The Dawgs hope to have a few touchdowns of their own Monday night in a rematch with No. 1 Alabama. It is the second time since the 2017 season that the two programs have faced another for the national title - the most-played game for all of the marbles in that time.
Georgia is considered a slight 2.5-point favorite to win the contest by oddsmakers.
“We’ve had good practices and are excited to be here. We have a tall task,” Smart said. “I am excited to get an opportunity to play.”
