ATHENS - There’s another Bobo coming to Athens, and it’s the son of former Georgia Bulldog QB Mike Bobo.

His son Drew, one of the top offensive line prospects in Alabama, flipped from Auburn to Georgia today, giving the Bulldogs four offensive line commitments in the 2022 class.

Matt Luke and the Bulldogs offered the 6-foot-5 300-pounder in early June after an in-person workout, but Bobo decided to join his father Mike who was the offensive coordinator at Auburn at the time, and comitted to the Tigers back on October 10th.

With Bobo no longer at Auburn and the program appearing to be heading in the wrong direction, it felt like an easy decision for the three-star to jump ship and flip to Georgia.

What are the Bulldogs getting in Bobo?

Size and toughness.

Bobo plays with a mean streak, and with a nice frame, Bobo uses his length to get his hands on the defender quickly and drive him backwards. Bobo hasn’t played against outstanding competition during his high school careeer, so he’s really shined as he’s able to physically dominate a lot of his opponents based on overall size and strength.

He's an intellingent player with a football background. He plays hard, to the whistle, and he’ll bring some versatility to Matt Luke’s group. Bobo can play both guard or tackle at the next level due to his lean frame and overall quickness. He moves well for his size and can pull around from the guard spot and get to the 2nd level.

He may not be “elite” in any specific area, but he’s another big kid who plays hard and is technically sound. Georgia fans may not like the three stars next to his name, but he’ll provide quality depth early on as he tried to enter the mix and see the field as he continuees to develop over time.

Where do the Bulldogs go from here?

With four commitments on board, the Bulldogs appear to be done on the offensive line for the 2022 class. Bobo joins three-star interior lineman Griffin Scroggs‍, four-star tackle Aliou Bah‍, and three-star tackle Jacob Hood‍.

Bobo is ranked as the No. 54 OL prospect and the No. 26 prospect in Alabama for the 2022 class.
