ATHENS - Georgia Bulldogs QB JT Daniels will be feature in an upcoming segment on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, the outlet annouced on Wednesday.

The program will feature Daniels and the ramifications of Name, Image and Likeness laws that were passed this summer around the country. The episode is set to debut Tuesday, October 19th at 10:00 PM EST.

“This summer, a seismic rule change hit college sports. For the first time ever, in a shocking reversal by the NCAA, student-athletes are legally allowed to endorse brands and make money, allowing athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness, or, “NIL.” This has sparked a modern-day Gold Rush as athletes, agents and boosters navigate what some are calling the new wild, wild west of college sports,” HBO said in a release.

Daniels is working his way through injuries, and hopes to get back to playing for the No. 1 Bulldogs soon.

“JT got to throw a lot on Monday,” Smart told reporters Tuesday. “Monday he threw 30 or 40 balls. We didn't do a whole bunch Monday. Today he probably didn't do as much - he was a little more limited. He's kind of on a pitch count. The good news is he doesn't have a lot of soreness.”

Days before the Bulldogs lopsided win over No. 8 Arkansas, Smart revealed that Daniels was dealing with an injury

"His oblique is fine; he's been having a little bit of a lat issue," Smart told reporters leading up to that game. "It bothered him some last week, and it bothered him some this week. But he's done a good job, he's sharp, watches all his tape, gets his reps and he does a good job, so we're hoping he can stay that way.”

Stetson Bennett has started three times for the Bulldogs this season - inlcuding the last two games, which were wins over ranked teams.

Daniels was slowed in the season opener against No. 3 Clemson with an oblique injury. He sat out the win over UAB. Bennett had an award-winning day against the Blazers by tossing five touchdowns on 10 of 12 throwing.

A week later Daniels came back to the starting lineup during No. 2 Georgia’s blowout win over South Carolina.

Georgia’s game with No. 11 Kentucky kicks off at 3:30 on CBS. The game is the 9th top-ten matchup in the Bulldogs 19 most-recent games.
