ATHENS - Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs continue their strong run of attracting TV audiences.

The No. 2 Bulldogs blowout win over UAB was watched by over 1.1 million viewers. It is the 48th time in the Kirby Smart era that the Bulldogs have drawn an audience over 1 million viewers. The win over the Blazers is also Georgia’s most-watched performance on ESPN2 in that time.

The game is the second most-watch game ever on record for UAB. Games with SEC foes Tennessee, Texas A&M and LSU didn’t go past 800,000 viewers in the past for the Blazers.

Georgia still has the most-watched game of the early season, the 10-3 win over No. 2 Clemson. That game drew 8.9 million viewers.

The No. 2 Bulldogs host South Carolina this weekend at 7:00 PM on ESPN. Disney’s No. 2 crew Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge and Molly McGrath are set to call the game. Last week’s game at that time slot, Texas at Arkansas, drew 3.4 million viewers.

But UGA-Carolina will have to go head-to-head against Auburn at Penn State, which kicks off at 7:30 on ABC. Both the Tigers and Penn State are two of the top 15 draws in college football on TV.
