ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs will be without a returning starter for the new few weeks.
Warren Ericson, Kirby Smart’s returning center, will miss some practice time with an injury according to a slew of reports. UGA Sports was the first to report the injury. The Bulldogs started practice on Friday.
A season-opening test against Clemson looms as Ericson recovers from the injury to his snapping hand. It is expected that backup center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger will play with the No. 1 unit in the meantime. Van Pran-Granger signed with the Bulldogs a few recruiting cycles ago, but only played in four games in 2020.
Van Pran-Granger, a New Orleans native, will have competition from at least two players on the Bulldogs’ roster - Cameron Kinnie and Austin Blaske. Both are redshirt freshman and have never played.
