Georgia Bulldogs Make "Top 4" For Elite 4-star DE Target
What We Are Hearing: Georgia Bulldogs Making Move with 5-Star Ohio State Commit?
It’s been a massive recruiting weekend for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs who have hosted some of their top commitments and targets over the last few days.
The Bulldogs picked up other good news today as well when they made the “Final 4” for one of their top remaining defensive targets.
That would be four-star edge defender, Enai White. The big-time 6-foot-5 230-pound pass rusher now has a final group that includes Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama and Ohio State.
The Imhotep Institute (PA) star took an official visit to Georgia the weekend of June 11th and spoke with Dawg Post about that visit.
“My favorite part of the visit was the hospitality they showed me,” White told Dawg Post. “The coaches were really genuine. I was able to speak with head coach Kirby Smart, defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, running backs coach Dell McGee, and new Director of Recruiting Relations David Cooper. The new facility was crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
White also took official visits to Florida, Ohio State, and Alabama in June.
So what about Georgia stands out the most to White?
““The resources they have make UGA special in my eyes”, White added. “I can succeed at football anywhere, but the resources of being close to Atlanta will be able to help me out after football”.
Sources say the Alabama Crimson Tide are the team to beat for White behind the scenes. They already have five-star EDGE defender Jeremiah Alexander on board, and adding White would give them an outstanding duo in this class.
The Bulldogs have only one defensive line commitment on board and that is four-star DT Tyre West of Tift County (GA). They have pass-rushing specialist Darris Smith on board as well, but Smart and defensive coordinator Dan Lanning would love to add someone like White coming off the edge.
White is ranked as the top overall player in Pennsylvania, the No.3 EDGE defender, and the No.36 overall prospects in the 2022 class.
