Kirby Smart, Georgia Bulldogs Host 5-star DL On Multi-Day Visit
Guess who’s back?
Back again?
Walter Nolen is back.
Tell a friend.
Actually, tell your friends to go to Dawg Post because that’s where ALL the scoop is.
Anyway, yes, five-star defensive lineman Walter Nolen is heading back to Athens for his second visit this month. His father confirmed to Dawg Post that they will be back in town on Friday and will stay through Sunday, giving Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs their final weekend visit before the dead period.
Nolen has been all over the place this month, including trips to Tennessee, Florida, and many more. He was in Athens for a big visit on June 10th and sources say the visit went “great”. Of course, it did. Nolen camped for the Georgia staff that day and showed why he’s one of the top prospect in the country.
Sources say the Bulldogs are still firmly in the mix in his recruitment, but they also say the Florida Gators feel very good about where they currently stand with the five-star. Florida might be the team to beat at the moment, but it you follow the visits, you absolutely can’t rule out Kirby Smart and the ‘Dawgs.
Nolen and his family made the trip to Athens back in late March after he dominated at the Atlanta Under Armour camp at Denmark High School in lovely Forsyth County. Nolen showed why he’s an easy five-star prospect that day, moving incredibly well at 6-foot-4 300-pounds and winning every rep during the 1-on-1 session.
As a player, Nolen is a dominant force who can clog up the middle of the trenches. He’s extremely quick off the ball for his size and can overpower opposing lineman with his raw strength. He displays quick feet, strong hands, and checks all the boxes for an elite defensive line prospect.
The Tennessee native is the top-ranked player in the state, the top-ranked defensive line prospect, and the No.3 overall prospect in the country for the 2022 class.
