Dell McGee strikes again as the Bulldogs have landed ANOTHER four-star running back commitment.

This time it came from Tennessee native Jordan James‍. The 5-foot-10 205-pounder chose the Bulldogs over Tennessee, but don’t let that fool you. James earned an offer from Georgia last May and he told Dawg Post numerous times how often he hears from the UGA staff.

In the end, he couldn’t pass up a chance to play running back at “RBU”.

“I love how UGA prepares you for life after football while also running a consistently top 5 program. I think UGA is a great place.”

So what is Georgia getting in James?

Balance and Physicality.

He’s not necessarily a “burner”, but James runs well for someone 5-foot-10 and 205-pounds. He shows great footwork for his size and his quick feet allow him to change directions well. He’s a tough runner who rarely gets brought down by one defender, and does a nice job of breaking tackles, especially with his lower body. He shows great balance and make it hard for defenders to trip him up.

James is also an excellent in the open field. He doesn’t have breakaway speed, but he can make defensive backs miss in the open field once he gets going. He’s a big-play waiting to happen and has the ability to make plays in the passing game as well. He shows soft hands out of the backfield and can get up-field in a hurry.

Overall, his balance and ability to break tackles is why Georgia recruited him and stayed on him as long as they did.

The four-star is coming off an outstanding junior season where he rushed for 1,752 yards and 26 TDs. In the state championship game, James rushed for 231 yards and 6 touchdowns, leading his team to victory.

James becomes Georgia’s 11th commitment in the 2022 class and the 2nd offensive commitment, joining 5-star QB Gunner Stockton. James is ranked in the Composite Rankings as the No.17 running back in the country and the No.3 prospect in Tennessee. He’s also ranked as the No.179 overall prospect in the country.
