Anthony Edwards has been selected as the 1st overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
This makes him the highest draft pick ever to come out of Georgia, and the first Bulldog to be selected in the first round since Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in 2013.
Edwards averaged 19.1PPG in his freshman season at Georgia and joins a talented list of guards that Tom Crean has coached into being top draft picks.
Edwards’ talent was huge in helping pack out Stegeman Coliseum and will now be a key part of the Timberwolves’ future.
