Georgia MBB non-conference games are set
Last week, Georgia’s SEC basketball schedule was released, with conference play beginning on Dec. 30 at home against Mississippi State.
Georgia’s non-conference schedule has now been announced by head coach Tom Crean.
The Bulldogs will start the 2020-21 season with seven non-conference matchups.
Non-conference games:
Nov. 25 vs. Columbus State
Nov. 29 vs. Gardner -Webb
Dec. 4 vs. Jacksonville
Dec. 8 vs. Montana
Dec. 12 vs. Samford
Dec. 19 vs. Cincinnati
Dec. 22 vs. Northeastern
All of the games will be played at Stegeman Coliseum, and all of the start times will be announced at a later date.
Georgia is opening up their season with a handful of favorable matchups before SEC play gets going right before the calendar year turns.
Montana and Northeastern are both favorites to do well in their respective conferences this season, and Cincinnati has had a solid basketball program in recent years, so those look to be the three toughest games in Georgia’s seven-game non-conference slate.
Crean is working with a lot of new players, so these few games will be huge for developing the team ahead of SEC play, especially since there have been no scrimmages and a completely different offseason.
