Projected Spreads for Week 1 of SEC Football

Gamblers are clamoring to get back to work, and while this isn't football itself, it's nice to get our minds looking in that direction.

In a story from The Action Network, the Bulldogs were predicted to have the third biggest spread in the entire SEC for the opening weekend. In a matchup against their assistant coach, Kirby Smart and company were predicted to blow Sam Pitman and the Hogs out of the water by 24 points.

That spread comes only behind LSU, a 26-point favorite over Mississippi State, and Texas A&M, who is a 37-point favorite over a woeful Vanderbilt.

Looking elsewhere in the SEC, Alabama was projected as a 19.5-point favorite over Missouri, Auburn was predicted to defeat Kentucky by 11, Florida was a -8 over Ole Miss and South Carolina was a PK over Tennessee.

While these lines could change a bit depending on what happens between now and September 26, this slight bit of news gives the degenerate gambling nation something to tide them over before college football officially kicks off in six weeks.
