ATHENS - Kirby Smart is certain the Alabama Crimson Tide will find a way.

Find a way to “crank noise in there” that is.

The Georgia Bulldogs’ head coach said Thursday night on an Atlanta radio station that his program would have to deal with crowd noise even though Alabama won’t have a full Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“I know this, they still have a stereo system,” Kirby said of the Tide. “They’ll find a way to crank noise in there. I’m sure everybody in the SEC - you’ll probably still have to have earmuffs without the crowd just because of the sound systems.”

The SEC has not yet announced a ruling on the capacity of crowds at conference games this fall. Insiders have told Dawg Post that they expect capacity to be locally regulated. Still, Kirby said crowd noise is something everyone in the SEC is going to have to deal with this fall.

“The home team is going to find a way to make it an advantage I can promise you that,” he said.
