In 2017, true freshman Jake Fromm burst onto the scene thanks to an unlikely injury to starter Jacob Eason, as well as a solid group of receivers.

Senior Javon Wims became a major factor in the passing game and was a go-to target for Fromm in key situations. Wims led the team in receptions, yards, and touchdowns with 45 catches for 720 yards and 7 scores. He was a 7th round pick to the Chicago Bears in the 2018 NFL Draft.

So who will lead the team in 2018?

Senior Terry Godwin would seem like the obvious answer as he was second-leading receiver last year with 38 catches for 639 yards and 6 touchdowns. He will be a verteran presence and has experience making big plays in crucial moments. He's a deep threat but ccan be dangerous in the screen game as well.

Then there's former five-star Mecole Hardman. As a sophomore last fall, the explosive Elbert County star made plays on both offense and special teams, showing elite speed and explosiveness. He became a nationaly known player with his 2-touchdown performance against Alabama in the national championship and is bound for a monster 2018 season.

Riley Ridley is a veteran now and is also coming off an impressive performance against Alabama. He's a steady receiver with good balance and ball skills who will be another reliable option for Fromm when needed. If he plays the 2018 season like he did against the Tide, Ridley could be in for a big year.

Jeremiah Holloman and Matt Landers are both bigger, longer receivers who are ready to make their mark as well. It's not expected that they come in and make a bigger impact than the three guys in front of them, but one is expected to come out and make an impact with the loss of Wims.
