Dawgs Lose Commitment in 2021 Class
The Georgia Bulldogs lost a commitment today in three-star defensive lineman, Marlin Dean.
The 6-foot-6 265-pound interior defensive lineman committed to the Bulldogs back in early March of this year, but the Elbert County (GA) lineman has now decided to open up his recruitment.
So where do the Bulldogs go from here?
Well, they can still get Dean back into the fold. He didn’t flip to another school, and he is still highly interested in Georgia, so there’s a chance he decided to jump back on board, just like Warren Brinson did in the 2020 class.
The Bulldogs still have interior defensive lineman Jonathan Jefferson on the commit list, and they have hybrid edge defense Elijah Jeudy committed as well.
The Bulldogs are hard after four-star defensive tackle, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, and sources say they are in that top group. The South Carolina Gamecocks, Tennessee Volunteers, and LSU Tigers are hoping to land him as well.
5-star Maason Smith is a major target, but the Bulldogs are likely training LSU by a big margin here. The Bulldogs will continue to push, but they have some catching up to do.
Auburn commit Lee Hunter is still a defensive tackle to keep an eye on as sources say he continues to stay in touch with the Georgia staff. Another Alabama defensive tackle to know is three-star Tim Keenan.
At defensive end, the top two Bulldog targets remaining appear to be 5-star Korey Foreman and 4-star Shemar Turner. Sources say the Bulldogs have some work to do with both prospects.
