ATHENS - UGA basketball player Rayshaun Hammonds announced Saturday that he will forgo his final season to stay in the NBA draft.

"Over the last few weeks, I've been fortunate enough to take time to myself and really understand my goals and what I want to accomplish in life," Hammonds said on social media Saturday. "With the help of my mother and many others, I've decided to forgo my senior season and keep my name in the 2020 NBA Draft while hiring an agent. Once again, I'd like to thank Coach Crean and the entire coaching staff for believing in me and continuing to help me get to this level.”

Hammonds is the second player off the 2019-20 team and the third Bulldog player in three years to leave UGA for an early look at the NBA.
