The Georgia recruiting train continues to roll as the Bulldogs pick up their third commitment in the last two weeks in four-star defensive end Elijah Jeudy‍. The Philadelphia native out of Northeast High School chose the Bulldogs over LSU, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Jeudy named that group his “Final 5” on April 8th. But after a change of heart, he decided to make his commitment sooner than he originally planned.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound four-star prospect is a proven pass rusher at who will bring the Bulldogs a nice edge presence on the defense. He’s athletic enough to stand up and play outside linebacker if  needed. But Jeudy will likely play with his hand on the ground as he continues to add more weight and muscle. Either way, Jeudy will be rushing the passer quite often in Athens from wherever he’s lined up.

Listed as a weakside defensive end, Jeudy becomes UGA’s third commitment on the defensive line, joining four-star defensive tackles Marlin Dean‍ and Jonathan Jefferson‍ on the commitment list. He becomes the first commitment that’s never played high school football in the state of Georgia, and he’s the seventh overall commitment for the Bulldogs in the 2021 class.

Jeudy is ranked as the consensus No.12 weakside defensive end prospect, the No. 8 prospect in Pennsylvania and the No.167 overall prospect in the 2021 class.
