Nolan Smith may or may not take visits this summer.

He said he wasn’t sure.

“I really don't know,” he said when asked about plans for the summer. “I really just go day by day.”

The 5-star IMG prospect did say, however, that he will take all of the official visits that he can, and he’s got a reason for doing so.

“I am going to take all of my official visits,” he said. “It is always good to see other places. You never know. Last minute something could happen. I have to be prepared for the worst thing that could happen.”

“Georgia may pull my offer today or tomorrow,” he added with a smile.

Smith, who committed to the Bulldogs a year and a half ago, said that he is still looking at both Clemson and Alabama. He indicated that he’s not heard much from Florida of late even though he visited the Gators for their spring game in April.

“Me and Tray Sanders talked about it, and we said: ‘Yeah, we will go to Florida for the visit.’ It was a good time,” he said.

Smith is considered one of the top players in the country in the class of 2019. He started his high school football career at Calvary Day School in Savannah before heading to IMG. Smith said that he isn’t trying to push fellow prospects to Georgia because it might not have the right feel for them.

“I support guys in their decisions,” he admitted. “I don’t try to push anyone to go where I am going because my place feels like home (to me), and it might not feel that way to someone else.”

But, Smith added, Georgia feels like the right place for him.

“I love Athens - beautiful city.”
