Elite California RB Calls UGA One Of His "Dream Schools"
We all know about the great running back tradition at the University of Georgia.
The program is known nationally as “RBU” and for good reason. The running back room is currently one of the nation’s best, and the Bulldogs will once again bring in some elite talent from across the country.
Georgia has 4-star RB Kendall Milton committed and picked up a commitment from 2023 RB Treyaun Webb last week. Now, Dawg Post has learned there’s another elite running back from California who has Georgia on his mind.
That would be Edison (CA) RB Raleek Brown. The 5-foot-7 165-pound sophomore had a lot to say about his interest in the Bulldog football program.
“They (Georgia) are one of my dream schools,” Brown said. “It (an offer) would mean a lot. Every offer means a lot. It’s a blessing to have any opportunity. I know Georgia just picked up Kendall Milton and he’s a Cali baller. Georgia has been a top program for a long time. SEC football is big time.”
“I feel top backs come from Georgia,” Brown said. “I mean my big brother is Najee (Harris) so I can’t say all running backs.”
They may not be blood-related, but Brown has known the current Alabama star running back for some time.
“He’s like a big brother to me,” Brown said of Harris. “We work-out together. I train with him. I get advice from him all the time.”
That’s all you need to know about the top-ranked running back in the 2022 class. Young guys like Brown who grow up training with other elite athletes tend to make it at the next level.
Georgia hasn’t offered yet, but that could change any day now. Brown already holds offers from Alabama, Michigan, Florida State, among others.
Brown took a visit to Alabama last weekend for the LSU game and made a visit to USC earlier this month.
