ATHENS - One UGA fan wants to make sure of one thing this Saturday: Notre Dame fans are treated well.
From Swampydawg on The Porch on Dawg Post:
I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that the UGA fans treat the ND fans well. Their fans could not have been more gracious the entire weekend we were up there.
We went up on Friday, and we had a house in South Bend for the weekend. From the grocery store, to the liquor store, to the people we interacted with on Friday, it was nothing more than a true welcome. Same with our gamely experience both before and after the game. Welcoming, courteous, complimentary. They were stunned at the number of UGA fans. Impressively stunned. Walking out after a hard fought win I heard nothing but praise for our fans and team.
The fans of ND coming to Athens are not UF fans. Please, please, do not treat them as such.
Our program is an annual contender. Our fans are known to travel and support at a high level. After yesterday's pink out, our standing is high. We have Game Day coming to town, a top 3 ranking. This is a moment for us to shine. Support the team as loud as you can. Keep the comments to the opposing fans gracious.
If we do what I think we can do, both on and off the field, Saturday can be an infomercial for the University of Georgia. Who we are, what we stand for. Our university, and our team, deserve nothing less.
Go Dawgs.
