ATHENS—For Jake Fromm and Richard LeCounte, it was a home game against Appalachian State. The following year, Tyson Campbell and Cade Mays opened up in the comforts of Sanford Stadium against Austin Peay. 

 

Both the 2017 and 2018 recruiting classes had simple experiences in their collegiate openers—easy games that allowed the then-freshman a chance to get their feet wet. 

 

The 2019 group, however, isn’t getting that same pleasure.
