BREAKING: 2019 LB Trezmen Marshall commits to Georgia
“Georgia is home.”
That’s what four-star linebacker Trezmen Marshall told Dawg Post prior to committing to Georgia on Friday afternoon.
“I took a few visits recently but Georgia is where I wanted to be.” Marshall said. “I committed to the staff a few weeks ago during one of the scrimmages. I told head coach Kirby Smart and then we went to tell assistant linebackers coach Glenn Schumann. I messed with him a little and told him I was going to start looking at other schools, but when I gave him the real news he was really excited.”
Marshall spent multiple Saturdays in Athens last fall and he has been a major Georgia target for quite some time. He was back in Athens for G-day but not as a public commit.
“I was there for the G-day game but tried to keep it low key. I really enjoyed my time there and I'm glad be to a Bulldog.”
Marshall will play inside linebacker with his 6-foot-0 236-pound frame, but admitted that playing some offense isn’t totally out of the question.
“We talked about me playing some running back too in some cases.” Marshall said. “He said if I work hard at it and prove I should be able to play there (running back) then I could have an opportunity.”
Marshall becomes Georgia’s 8th commitment of the 2019 class and third linebacker commit joining five-star Nolan Smith and four-star J.D Bertrand.
