ATHENS - Bear Bryant was still the coach at Alabama, and new UGA coach Vince Dooley and his team had a surprise in store for the defending national champion Tide.

On second and eight from the Georgia 27-yard line, he Moore a flea-flicker pass to end Pat Hodgson, who lateraled to HB Bob Taylor, who streaked down the sideline for a 73-yard TD with 2:08 to play. Moore completed a two-point conversion pass to Hodgson to give Georgia the win over the defending national champions. Final: Georgia 18, Alabama 17.

The play, along with Lindsey Scott in 1980, is one of the most memorable plays in the history of the program.

Other notable 75s in the history of the Bulldogs…

Georgia scores a series record number of points during a 75-0 blowout route of the Gators on November 7, 1942. The Bulldogs won the SEC, the Rose Bowl Game and the national title later that season.
