The Georgia recruiting train strikes again.

After releasing his final three late last night, four-star DE Jalen Carter‍ pulled the trigger and committed to Georgia. The 6-foot-4 300-pound defensive tackle chose the Bulldogs over Clemson and Alabama, giving the Bulldogs three defensive line commitments in the 2020 class.

So what are the Bulldogs getting in Carter?

Raw athleticism and sky-high potential. The Georgia staff usually recruits players who can come in and make an impact, but the untapped potential Carter brings to the table led him to become one of the nation’s top-ranked defensive lineman.

Carter is quick and agile for his size but also plays with a great motor and aggressiveness. He needs to continue to develop, but once the lights all come on for him, he should be tough to handle for opposing lineman. He’s explosive off the ball and can overpower opposing lineman if they don’t bring their A game.

His film is outstanding, but his best football is yet to come. This is a prospect Georgia fans should be very happy with.

So where do the Bulldogs go from here?

Tray Scott and company now have three current commitments, with about 2 or so spots remaining along the defensive line. Five-star Jordan Burch is coming off a recent visit to Georgia over the weekend and sources continue to say the Bulldogs have gained a ton of momentum here over the last few weeks.

Jay Hardy of Chattanooga is another prospect high on the Bulldogs. In-state defensive end Zykeivous Walker‍ and Florida commitment Gervon Dexter‍ are two more names that Georgia fans should have a close eye on.

Georgia’s newest commitment is the number 10-overall defensive tackle prospect in the country and the number 95-player in the country.
