BREAKING: 2021 OT Micah Morris Commits to Georgia
The Bulldogs continue to lock up the state of Georgia on the recruiting trail after landing a commitment from one of the nation’s top prospects in Camden County (GA) offensive tackle Micah Morris.
The four-star chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, South Carolina and Florida - among others. The big 6-foot-4 315-pounder recently released his top group, but it was clear the home-state Bulldogs were always on top of his list. The departure of Sam Pittman made things interesting in December, but Matt Luke made sure he was able to land one of the state’s top overall prospects.
So what is Georgia getting in Morris? Unlimited potential.
The South Georgia star is a “first guy off the bus” type of lineman, and will only get better as he continues to develop and work on his mechanics. Morris plays with a mean streak and has the potential to overpower his opponent due to his raw strength.
Georgia fans might have to wait until the 2021 season to see him, but by that time they should see an elite tackle prospect who could push for immediate playing time. A rising senior, Morris has eye-popping size with his thick, imposing frame. He holds 300 pounds extremely well and moves really well for someone his size. As good as he currently is, Morris is far from a finished product.
Morris is ranked as the No.11 offensive tackle prospect, the No.7 prospect in Georgia, and the No.73 overall prospect in the country.
