Police: UGA WR Tyler Simmons Included in Saturday Night Arrests
ATHENS - Tyler Simmons was also arrested Saturday night in connection with Tyrique Stevenson’s arrest, according to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald.
Simmons, according to the ABH, was not booked through the Athens-Clarke County jail because he was sent to a hospital after a fight at Cloud Bar. Stevenson was booked Saturday night on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
This is the fourth arrest of a UGA player in the last month.
Stevenson was arrested at 2:42 AM and released on $1,000 bond. Simmons was also arrested on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. Simmons, according to the ABH, didn’t go though the booking process because he was “transported to a local hospital for an injury.”
The police said in a statement that there was a “chaotic scene with numerous bar patrons spilling out into the sidewalk and street.” Then eyewitnesses “identified Simmons and Stevenson as fighting with bar staff.”
