I've thought a lot about this roster, and I am not sure how I feel about it. Last season, I knew what to expect with the roster, but this season, I just don't know.
I see the talent, and this team could be deeper than our last team. I do feel like this team will be hustle and heart from top to bottom on the roster. We have several players with a really high upside, and we have several players that have been very calm and consistent for their teams. I like the blend. Getting Banks was very important for this team in terms of a consistent point guard.
But, I don't know who will be that elite star in the SEC. Most rosters, you can look and say that's their "star" or one of their "stars". We have a few that I think can be that player, and maybe that is what wins us games.
I think this team can make the tourney, but I don't have the same sense of certainty that I did last year. It could be a case where coaching makes the difference.
I do know this team and style of play will be exciting to watch. Brown and Adebanjo will be all over the court. Can't wait until November.
