Another tough day for the Ladydawgs. Team is now 1 and 3 in the SEC. They get Thursday off and will play Ole Miss next Sunday and it will be a rematch from New Years day. Mia Woolfolk was on the bench and I haven't heard what is the true nature of her leg injury. It is definitely tough without inside scoring. Dani scored only 5 points and South Carolina kept a lot of very good tall players around her. I am still puzzled why Coach Abe is not trying to see if Jocelyn Faison and Aubrey Beckham can help this team. They can't be any worse than what is happening.

You're definitely not the only one puzzled. This recruiting class came here to make an impact from the get go. I was happy to see Zhen get the start, but I honestly don't know that she would have had Mia not been out, even though she's earned it. There's no excuse for not getting these girls minutes. Defensively they're a better match up than what we've seen. I don't know if Abe's made promises to these other girls but it's only hurting our team. And it will continue to hurt future top talent recruitment if she keeps her job.

Radio broadcast said Woolfolk has a sprained ankle.

I am glad we have a week off to recover. I feel like a four guard rotation isn't going to keep us fresh enough in tough physical games.

I hope to see us battle against Ole Miss.

Caejal44, even with a healthy Mia Woolfolk, Coach Abe just doesn't get it. South Carolina had WNBA height on the floor where they were blocking everyone shot on UGA team. Dawn called off the dogs to give her bench playing time. Dani had several players in her face 6'2 and 6'3. For some odd reason, Coach Abe thinks that she can compete in the SEC with 3 guards 5'9 or shorter. The SEC is not a G5 league. If Dani Carnegie can't score, UGA doesn't have a chance. I would be trying to play Jocelyn Faison as possible, because she is going to give you great defense and she matches up with every small forward and power forward in the SEC. The scoring will come, I saw Jocelyn her entire senior season. For some reason, if she doesn't play her, I see her following the same road as the Davis Twins. It's a different day and time. But I have to say it again, I think her days are numbered.

I am not quite ready to give up on a team that has won every game they should have won, but I do think we need more guard depth to help us play better at the end of games.

The worst thing that could have happened is to go 14-0 in non-conference. Coach Abe thought they were better than they actually are. The SEC is such a step up. Why Abe isn't playing Aubrey Beckham is a mystery. She is a 4/5 star recruit and sits at the end of the bench. I would definitely like to see her play with Craft. If Abe wants to get the best recruits in Georgia you need to play them,

Caejal44, I respect you and all our board members. Size does matter, Coach Abe doesn't reflect that with her team. I was wondering why she didn't go out and and pursue a forward around 6'3 that could score and compliment Mia Woolfolk. Woolfolk has always been foul prone and she can't afford to get injured. Coach Abe is depending on 4 guards who are all 5'9 or less. That is a remedy for failure in the SEC. We have all said that UGA needs to recruit better. We finally get a very good class and we are playing just one. I don't want to see us lose Beckham and Faison to the transfer portal. With this team, we will not win in the SEC. We were down 18 points to Texas A and M and luckily won. We might beat Florida, Arkansas and Missouri, but that is 4 wins. Which is exactly what we won last year. We are in trouble and Josh Brooks is going to have a evaluate the program. We might have a winning record overall, but we will have our third straight losing season in the SEC. That is the league that matters and until we can compete in it, we are a losing team.
